Georgia Hotels Welcomed 6.2 Million Guests in 2025 — Foreign Visitors Account for 62.7%

Georgia’s hotels and hotel-type establishments hosted 6.2 million guests in 2025, a 6.5% increase compared with 2024, according to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat). Foreign guests made up 62.7% of the total. Israeli citizens were the largest foreign group, with 555,400 stays — about 14.3% of all foreign hotel guests (up 1.0% year on year). Citizens of the European Union accounted for 10.4% of foreign guests. Leisure remains the dominant purpose: 92% of foreign hotel guests visited for recreation and holidays. Among those leisure stays, Israelis and Russians led with 14.7% and 12.9% respectively. Supply also expanded. The number of hotels rose 4.5% to 2,783. Total bed capacity reached 120,200, and the number of rooms stood at 54,300. Adjara and Tbilisi host the largest shares of the country’s hotel stock. For investors, the message is clear: demand from international leisure travelers is rising alongside new rooms in Tbilisi and Batumi — a combination that continues to support hospitality and short-term rental assets across Georgia.
